Your questions answered
Fertility nutrition can feel overwhelming with endless information, conflicting advice, and supplements that overpromise. Whether you're at the start of your TTC journey or you've been trying for over a year, here's what you actually need to know. No noise, no overpromising, just honest answers from the people building BioMirco.
Fertility & TTC Basics
Whether you're just starting or you've been trying for over a year, the core questions are the same when to start, what to take, and when to switch. Here's what fertility nutritionists actually recommend.
When should I start taking a fertility supplement?
When should I start taking a fertility supplement?
Ideally at least 90 days before you actively try to conceive. The egg you ovulate this month started developing roughly 90 days ago, preconception nutrition is most impactful during that window. If you're already trying, start now. Every cycle benefits.
What's the difference between Fertility Advance and Fertility Focus?
What's the difference between Fertility Advance and Fertility Focus?
Advance is our high-strength formula for women 35+ or trying for 12+ months with 300mg CoQ10, 800µg folate, 3 capsules a day. Fertility Focus is for early TTC and continues through the first trimester 200mg CoQ10, 533µg folate, 2 capsules a day. Both use the same active forms.
How long until I see results?
How long until I see results?
Honest answer: there's no quick result with fertility nutrition. The 90-day egg cycle means the eggs you're nutritionally supporting today will mature roughly three months from now. Consistency over months matters more than any single day.
Should my partner take something too?
Should my partner take something too?
Yes, around 40% of fertility challenges involve a male factor, and the 90-day sperm cycle matters too. We're launching Fertility Advance for Men in 2026.
Ingredients & Safety
We make only health claims authorised on the GB Nutrition & Health Claims Register. Every ingredient is in its most bioavailable form. Vegan, third-party tested, made in the UK at our GMP-certified facility.
Do you use synthetic folic acid?
Do you use synthetic folic acid?
No. We use 5-MTHF folate (calcium 5-methyltetrahydrofolate) the active form your body uses directly. Up to 40% of women carry an MTHFR gene variant that limits their ability to convert synthetic folic acid. 5-MTHF works for all women regardless of MTHFR status.
